The Past 6 Weeks!

Where has the summer gone?  The Peistrup family has been on the go for the past 6 weeks.  Here's some updates on the family.

Anders is 4 months old and sleeping through the night!   Still continues to be a very mellow, sweet baby.  He has figured out how to giggle, roll over and we are getting ready to attempt some rice cereal.

We celebrated Anders' Dedication the end of July.  It was held at the home of our dear friends Bob & Jeanne Kelly.  His close friends, family and godparents were present,  it was a beautiful day!

We took a week long camping trip in the motor home.  Anders took his first bath in the sink. 

We've been working on sitting up.  He tends to lean forward.

Nils has had a VERY busy past few weeks.  He's getting ready to start pre-K next week.  Here's some photos and updates on what he's been up to.

Uncle Kell and Auntie Jessica were here for a week.  Nils was so excited to spend some time with them.

Nils' god mom Janene got married in Portland.  He got to walk Penny down the aisle.  He did a great job!

Camping La Conner 2012. I would send this kid out the door of the RV in the morning and wouldn't see him until bedtime.  He was exhausted by the end of each day but enjoyed spending time with his cousins and longtime family friends!

There was a slip n' slide set up at the campground.  They poured soap all over it and off the kids went.  It was 65 degrees that day but Nils didn't care!

So...each family that camped in our group hosted a dinner each night.  Our night was to celebrate the Olympics.  Here's Nils getting into the spirit of Team America!

Anders 2nd Month & Peistrup Family Summer Fun

Greetings Everyone!  We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer (now that the sun is out)!  Here's an update on the family.

Baby Anders is now 2 months old!  Time is flying by.  He can roll over from tummy to back and is "talking" all the time.  According to Nils he can say "Hi", "Oh" and "Bye".  We been managing to get both kids into bed by 8pm and Anders is sleeping until about 4am, eats and goes back down for another 3-4 hours.  Can't ask for more than that at 8 weeks.

We've had a very busy June/July.  We took our first camping trip of the summer to LaConner.  It poured rain the entire weekend.  Nils had a great time flying his kite.  Here's some video of him running around the field "flying" his kite.

Nils has also been taking swim lessons for the past couple of months.  He loves it and this past session it all made sense to him - if you kick your legs and use your arms at the same time, you actually move!  Here's a little video of him doing the backstroke all by himself!  This video was taken at the beginning of the session and by the end, he could backstroke about 20 yards unassisted.

We had our annual 4th of July at the Pei's party.  This year we had sun and 70 degrees!  The fireworks show was as awesome as ever.  Thanks to everyone that made it to the party!  Same day and time next year.  Nils managed to stay outside this year for the fireworks and loved doing sparklers.  I think he did about 30 of them.

We took the kids to the "Touch A Truck" event in Seattle sponsored by the Junior League.  Nils got to fulfill his dream of sitting in a firetruck.  He even got to wear a fire helmet.  You have no idea what this meant to him...you can tell by the look on his face!

Greetings friends & family!  Welcome to the Peistrup family blog!  So this is my first attempt at blogging.  The reason I'm doing this is because our home computer is too slow to upload photos to email our to family and friends.  I'm going to post monthly updates on what's new in the Peistrup family.

May Updates:

What's new?!  Baby Anders is.  Anders Misner Peistrup was born May 11th at 7:22am, weighing in at 7lbs, 5 oz, 19" and has a full head of hair.  He is a very sweet baby, eats and sleeps like a champ.  Nils is doing a great job as big brother and loves to smother his little brother and shower him with kisses.  Here's some pictures of Anders and his 1st month as part of our family.

Nils has had a very busy spring.  We've had him enrolled in swimming and soccer.  He is in the Guppies class and is learning how to do the backstroke and freestyle.  He plays soccer once a week and loves it.  This past week, he graduated from Preschool at Nancy's Noah's Ark.  He was very sad to be done with school for the year and is going to miss his teacher Miss Adriana very much.   He is looking forward to having a fun summer camping in the RV, playing soccer and spending him with his brother.  Here's some pictures from his graduation:
